It's been awhile!

Whoa...
I sort of forgot about this blog, haha,whoops!
I've moved to Meaford Ontario. Nice place actually. Love Lake Huron, so pretty and you can almost convince yourself its the ocean when the waves are rough. I love the hills around here as well.It amuses me that every time I go to Owen Sound, my ears pop from the altitude.

I have oraganized a Zombie Walk through Meaford on the 3oth of October. I am really looking forward to it.

Hola!!

Haven't updated, my bad...
February, holy short month Batman! It went bylike, zoom! Visited family in North Bay, hung out with my kiddies, did some crafty things. Met my great nephew Reagan for the first time, I love him <3






Its March and it keeps going by just as fast!

Plans are in the works for a road trip to Winnipeg to visit Aaron's grandma. We'd head out in the middle of July. We'll camp the whole way, the fourth day we should be in Winnipeg. It takes so long to get out of Ontario! We are also thinking of heading to BC for Christmas. That will be so awesome. So many people visit with. Not a relaxed trip at all but once in awhile hectic insanity is wonderful. I want to bake stuff with my mother in law and just enjoy being there.
Keeping busy is keeping me sane, I like it this way.

Weekend

It was fun! Babyfix and skating on the Rideau Canal. Babyfix was first, saw Zakary and his big brother Ben.Good visit with their parents :) Ben was enjoying our three kiddo's and wanted to brush my hair. I can't get over how big he has gotten. His little brother is so sweet, still in that cuddly newborn stage.
The Canal was busy as it is still Winterlude. I love skating with my family. It would have been better if I hadn't fallen on the ice and bruised my other knee. Yes, I fell again. My poor knees. I think I need kneepads O.O
I hit a divot and went down, couldn't catch myself before I fell. We kept skating though. Did a 4km skate. My thighs felt it O.O
I would totally do it again!

Was a great day ended by supper at Jack Astors. Great food and the staff always treats my kids like people..love going there.

We got home at a decent time and watched a bit of Olympics before bed. Greeat day with some great people.

Happy

I am in such a good mood today! Its a gorgeous day out so I am going to try to get out and enjoy at some point. I am almost finished a painting for a friend and its looking good. Just taking a break from it to enjoy some coffee and sit in a sunbeam. This is why I love a laptop and wireless, I can sit anywhere and goof off online!
Small things make me smile.
Everyone got off to school today in a cheery mood and we are all excited for the weekend.
We are heading to Ottawa to skate on the Rideau Canal. I haven't done that in a very long time. The kids and Aaron have never skated there.So this should be fun for all. Its also Winterlude, so there is stuff to look at as well. A friend had her baby recently so we are going to stop in and visit while we are in Ottawa. A busy weekend full of fun. Looking forward to it.

Knees!

I fell on the ice yesterday. A combination of things, speed and lumpy ice conspired to trip me up. Ah, the perils of outdoor skating. One knee is swollen, omg O.O
Both knees are bruising already. I came down on all fours very fast and hard. Didn't realise that my knee was swollen until I went to bed. Plan to ice it today and just take it easy.
This is the first time I have fallen since putting on skates again. So in one way I have been really lucky :)

PA day for the kiddies and they are managing to amuse themselves! Small victories :)

Creativity

I think for me, it really is dependant on my mood. I haven't done anything really creative in quite awhile. I don't really know if I was in a rut or what. It just wasn't happening. Gets a little frustrating when you consider yourself an artist. :(
I finally picked up my paint brushes and my acrylics and have been painting today. Now I want to draw..not just doodle. This is good.. I am excited to have creativity flowing again.
I was wondering if it was ever going to come back.

Cold

What a crazy week weather wise! Highs of 6 earlier in the week. It rained very hard one day. Now we are down to -22 with the windchill at -30! Oh, and it snowed again!
Doesn't make you want to go outside. I am contemplating going back to bed with a book.Slothlike ideas in my head :D
Possible lunch date with a friend, so I must squash those slothful thoughts. Maybe some yoga to warm up. Or maybe just another cup of coffee and some painting. Undecided I am this morning. Might just have to flip a coin :)
